Whenever I play an online game (usually CS, SoF2 and UT2003 Demo), all my USB ports just turn off, and I don't know why!
The two ports in the back control my mouse, and a six-port USB hub on the front. In the front I only have my ADSL modem and Sidewinder Game Voice (Took everything else out in an attempt to stop this problem).
Does anyone know why this is happening?
I would be grateful for any help you guys (and girls) could give!
Thanks,
Jonny -V-

Try this link, you should see an FAQ about the correct drivers, follow that and you should find the latest ones to download.
www.adslguide.org.uk I would suggest you bookmark this site as it is an invaluable site for BB problems, especially their forums when dealing with your ISP. They have forums for just about every BB ISP so you should be able to ask technical questions and get really good feedback from the people on there.
Help me please!

Is it the green "frog" type thing?

If the answer to the frog question is yes then you will need to find some new drivers, don't worry your not the only person to have this problem, as I said there have been known issues with the Alcatel modems and VIA chipsets.
Why this happens is beyond me, VIA isn't exactly a small company with only a handfull of motherboards being supported, they're a huge company so the finger has to point at Alcatel and their driver programmers being sloppy.
And yes, my motherboard does have a VIA chipset

heh, not all mice have ps2 connections, there are some very cool mice with very clever functions that use usb ports, most ps2 mice are very same.

I agree that it's a bit weird not using a NIC for your modem, but the rest is fine, although i'm pretty sure a USB port is more than fine for a modem apart from the fact that too many used usb ports hog your precious CPU.
Why have you got a USB Hub? Why not just get a NIC and a 10/100 hub and some CAT5 cabling?
Have you also got a VIA chipset on your mobo? There have been known issues with BB devices and this chipset.
