I was just thinking about all this new technology thats being bought into Dixons and Currys(MP3 players and high quality CD/MD players) why can't our consoles find some way to build these into our consoles? I love listening to music but can't play games at the same time, I was thinking that because all consoles are going onto the internet, why can't we download our favorite tunes of MP3 sites and then play them on our games instead of the music thats on there? then we can have all the sound effects that are programmed plus tracks like Cold Play and Bon Jovi(Ant would like that) this would mean that we don't have to mess around with all the sound details which aren't on N64s(only PSX and PC systems have this).

I think you can put a song into MSR, so it will play when you are driving...

But I'm not sure.

A good adrenaline pumping soundtrack is great for a racing game like WipeOut. IT would of been nice if you could do that do a very good game with the worst soundtrack. Maybe using something a but like napster you could download your music into the game and select the soundtrack you want play.

I hope they get rid of that squeeky music from from the GameBoy Color when the GameBoy Advance comes.

Although I dont think that allowing the music to be transfered would be taken up by the Games industry...they dont want to be seemed to encourage piracy..ie over the internet as you suggest.

I suggested this a while back, it would be nice if the next generation consoles had a built in MP3 program that allowed us to put our download our favourite MP3s onto our memory cards. Then we could choose to play the tunes back during games, sometimes game soundtracks can be just plain nasty.
