Yes, Microsoft is going for it. A trial of the XBox Live broadband service for the UK starts November, with a full launch next March. They also claim that within 5 years, all games will be online.

PC gamers can have the ability to buy headsets if they want, and most have microphones to speak through as well. Trouble is, nobody uses tham to give orders or to help each other out, they use it to pee about on or talk to each other( spam in other words), sometimes this can get so annoying you have to mute them. Just another thing for console gamers to look forward to.

Totoro i have Xbox sessions with my mates every week, And it is seriously the most fun and exciting experiance ever. But Online play will offer you to play people from all over the world using a controller and "Voice communication" instead of a keyboard. Its going to seriously rock!

Downloadable content for games, Man i just cannot wait for this service to arrive, Can you Totoro?

Tribute, Microsoft are releasing the trials on Novemeber 30th so that they can see how Xbox Live works over the 3 months before release.

I don't see what all the fuss is about with online.
PC games have been online for ages, and whilst they are pretty fun, they aren't as fun as split-screen multi-player with your mates or family huddled around the tele.

What's so fun about being beaten by faceless geeks called "nebwieKilla" and "Fragmaster" etc.
