I'm thinking of building a new PC, my other one is about 4 years old
AMD K2 500/ 256k ram/ Voodoo 2/ etc
I don't play that many games on it now I've got my PS2 but want to get into the PC scene.
I like the idea of being able to buy bits here and there when I have some spare cash.
Amazing what you can build for £400 !

That's a nice monitor price. I need a second, mine looks so lonely sitting there on its own.

yup, same goes for keyboards, the cheap ones i've had are only good for a few months, and the keys are pap!
My mouse is lovely though, (Logitech Trackman) cost £45 but it's about £20 now...worth every penny, good for games too.

You've only made 34 posts though..

I find that its deffo worth paying extra for mice, get an optical, you wont regret it, my current mouse has lasted as long as my last three put together!

might get another 512 then!!!!!!

the mouse does have a wheel, and is better than my old one which cost £17 (overpriced piece of crap)

don't see anything wrong with the keyboard either, it does the job fine

all in all i'm pretty chuffed with myself

and i don't know who made the CD-Rom (unboxed) and i cant be bothered to check the top of it.

ps. i've been here for months now and i'm still a newbie
