The film with Cathrine Zeta Jones, Micheal Douglas, Dennis quaid and that funny spanish bloe whose name escapes my memory. I must say I found this film extremely disappointing, It promised action tat wasn't really there, it just himted at it but didn't really supply. I felt that the film was too distant from the characters in it and that too much time was spent trying to develop the characters and failing at doing so really. It was one of those films with two easily distinguished plots. Micheal Douglas's side with his family and the Drug suppliers side. It tried to maintain both plots but didn't really go anywhere. I was extremely disappointed. Did anyone like it a lot?

Thought it was, and still is, a great film. It states the whole drug problem more effectively than any book or real life program could ever do, and it's not really an explosions kinda film.... Excellent though,

Traffic was very good. Really liked it. Didn't like Ali, though.

Not really surprising though is it! not even the americans would dare change something that much. I am sure they wanted to make him take on a posse of terrorist with only his fists but were, for once bound by something resembling the truth, unlike U-571 and co. Yep i personally haven't seen Ali, but got it on DVD but haven't got around to watching it yet. Some people say it is brilliant, some say boring and has dodgy camera work, oh well i guess the only way to find out is to watch it!

Fair enough. I thought that with 'Ali' with Will Smith. Sat through the whole thing, thought all the acting was brilliant and marvellously shot, then at the end realised "I knew that was going to happen."

I just felt that in the end it had been to slow and very little had been achieved. I appreciated and thought it was clever how they blended the beginning of the drugs process and its results in the plots, but at the end of the day i just didn't feel that it made great veiwing as it was to slow and quite frankly plain. I don't demand action from a film, and am quite happy with many slow films which are more story based, but at the end of the day i want to feel entertained not, "where on earth did the last 3 hours go, and when are they going to actually get into it". All the actors were excellent, it was just the film i found hard to like.

It was too long, and my brain sometimes can't handle 3 hours of people talking, I need some explosions. But on the whole, I thought it was pretty good, if a little slow. I liked the 3 colours thing too, that was helpful for special people like me who sometimes get confused. And Del Toro is excellent, almost as good as that Merc advert.

I thought it was fantastic.
Soderburgh created 3 different plot strands that, I felt, worked with each other to give a multi-sided view of the same problem.
And I always enjoy Michael Douglas.
