It is known that UEFA are going to take action against the PSV fans that made racist comments and threw missiles at Thierry Henry while he was taking a corner, it was announced today.

While standing, calmly waiting to swing the ball in, Henry had a number of missiles from the crowd, such as lighters, coins, cans, etc, thrown at him from the stands, and comments were heard to be directed towards his nationality. The referee picked up the items that had been thrown to show them to UEFA, which was another piece of news announced today.

PSV fans have been known to be a violent lot before, which is probably one of the reasons UEFA decided to take this whole thing so seriously. PSV fans occassionally get into fights, sing racist songs at rival team players and lob items onto the park with the soul intention of harming the other team's players. PSV's fans have the worst reputation in Holland for violence, swearing and fighting, and this situation will help them keep that reputation.

Thierry Henry however, has asked people to drop this occurance out of their memories, and he hopes they will continue to simply talk about football, and nothing else. He is relaxed about the whole situation, and says that he would like it to be forgotten.

It is not likely that UEFA will take this incident lightly though, as they've had to warn PSV fans about this kind of behaviour before. No actions have been taken so far, but UEFA insist they are still looking into the matter, and it's a matter they will not take lightly.

What's your thought on this all?

But what about Turkish fans?
They're EVIL!

They sacrifice Goats and stuff at the start of every season, and their fans are evil when they start lugging coins at any non-Turkish player.

You should see it when Fenerbache play Galatasaray!
I've heard it, and they go absolutely MENTAL!!
A lot of them also get there at around 4 hours before Kick-Off.

That's what i've been told by my Turkish friend anyway, and he did show me some stuff on the net.

I still think they're a lot worse then Dutch fans.

I think that it is disgraceful that fans are using racist comments against football fans. I think that UEFA should take action against this as it is not fair on the players.

A lot of dutch fans seem to do this thing.

My cousin went to a champions league game against Feyenyoord at Old Trafford a few years ago, and he said their fans made them "ape/monkey" like sounds everytime a black united player got the ball.

This coming from a nation that has Kluivert, Davids, Seedorf, Van Hooijdonk, and Hasselbaink in their national side...
