News just in!

Nintendo have long been accused of only developing games aimed at a younger audience. And to a certain extent this is correct. But Nintendo's image as a "kiddy company" is changing drastically.

Take a look at

Now, what exactly IS that small stump in between Doshin's legs? Is it a pimple? Is he pregnant? Or maybe it's some kind of tumor? No. I know EXACTLY what that thing is, and I'm sure you're all fully aware of it, too.

So, this marks Nintendo's first, and daring step, to develop games for the more mature market. That's right. Nintendo have disgarded the kiddy image of Doshin the Giant and replaced it with a pornographic game starring a 100-foot tall naked giant... and have kept all of the "explicit" things well and truly in the game.

When we spoke to Shigeru Miyamoto, he was clearly not in the least embarrassed about Nintendo's drastic decision to completely re-work the entire Doshin game.

UMP = Un-named Member of Press.

UMP: "Hello Shigsy. Great to have you talking to us."
Shigsy: "It's a pleasure to be here."
UMP: "Wow, I'm honoured that you should say that."
Shigsy: "So you should be!!"
UMP: "Erm..."
Shigsy:
UMP: "So, could you explain to our listeners exactly why you're here?"
Shigsy: "Because I'm being paid a truckload of yen."
UMP: "And... the other reason?"
Shigsy: "Oh, I'm here to talk about the completely new image of Doshin the Giant."
UMP: "I see. And, what exactly have Nintendo done that so drastically changes how Doshin looked before?"
Shigsy: "Well, we've completely disgarded the kiddy image of Doshin, who is now not only completely naked, but our artists have been given the task of creating all of Doshin's... bits."
UMP: "Bits?"
Shigsy: "Bits."
UMP: "Right, and by bits you mean...?"
Shigsy:
UMP: "I see. And you're confident that this change will get rid of the opinion that Nintendo only develop games aimed at kids?"
Shigsy: "Oh yes, we're entirely confident. We're 100% sure that by kidnapping the killer whale and transporting it to our own sealife centre at night, there will be no chance of the police catching us."
UMP: "Pardon me?"
Shigsy:

So, Nintendo have complete confidence in their new decision (amongst other things) and are sure that it will well and truly eradicate all opinions of their so-called "kiddy image". But this isn't the first time that Nintendo have attempted to carry out such a plan. That's right. In previous games, Nintendo have actually tried to include several "obscene" images and references, but have always been thwarted by the ELPSA, and even the BBFC on certain occasions.

With the help of Twycross developers, Rareware, Nintendo attempted to release both Perfect Dark and Conker's Bad Fur Day with all of their "adult" or violent content into the videogames market, WITHOUT the appropriate age certificates. However; the ELPSA managed to track down Conker's Bad Fur Day and tagged it with a 15+ rating, while the fabled undercover organisation, BBFC, stamped an 18 certificate all over Perfect Dark. It has been rumoured that Rareware's failures to release "illegal" mature games into the market may have been the cause of Nintendo's decision to sell their share in the Rareware company to multi-national, money-hungry, crash-specialising computer company, Microsoft. A drastic decision, indeed.

But these weren't Nintendo's only attempts to release disapproved games. Along with numerous attempts while enlisting the help of Rareware, Nintendo have also conducted many solo efforts; each one a spectacular failure....

The Gorons and Zoras from the N64 Legend of Zelda games are, as you're aware, completely naked, however; all of their external organs have been removed. Nintendo originally intended to leave these in, but once again ELPSA managed to thwart their scheme and removed these obscene images, leaving the Gorons and Zoras sexually organless and ultimately unable to breed.

But Nintendo are stubburn at best, and their latest attempt proves this entirely. Whether or not Doshin the Giant's new "adult" image will actually escape the attention of the ELPSA and BBFC remains to be seen... but Doshin the Giant: Innuendo Island is now available from all videogames retailers.
