Hey there.

Lightwave 7 spits out an RGB image, and then the alpha as a greyscale that can be used as a mask - with any sane software. I can't find out how to paste or even load this image into a Photoshop 7 layer mask. Selecting paste or even "paste into" just creates a new layer. It's ludicrous how stupid this program can be. Does anyone know how to do it?

Create a new layer, add a layer mask to this layer and paste the greyscale into the mask layer. you should be able to add it to the channels too by creating a new channel and pasting it in to that... Long time since I've done LW - PS

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
