absolutely ludicrous.
This could easilly cause referees to avoid sending people off for fear of rebuke by fans who then see a player unjustly missing the next game.
Completely the wrong direction to be going in, now we'll see even more bad decisions.

And I agree very strongly with Wookie on the fact that we should be using Technology to rid the beautifull game of daft-mistakes - just like they do in Rugby and others.
Just wait untill the first player gets undeservidly sent-off....
Then we'll see how badly this system will fail!

We all know that referees frequently get it wrong. To say that their judgement can never be questioned is ridiculous - they probably make more mistakes now than they ever have before.
They're taking football back to the Dark Ages, rather than using technology to improve the game - as all other sports are doing.
