It seems that Electronic Arts have decided to not give Earth & Beyond a UK release, due to "excessively high ping affecting the MMORPG world of Earth & Beyond".
Now I don't know if that's a genuine reason or not, but it would appear that EA were only too happy to allow UK players to test etc, but now decide to not release it on these shores.
Once again, as with Black & White/Medal of Honour etc, Electronic Arts show contempt & disdain for European gamers.
They are notorious for rush-releasing software with shoddy coding etc. Medal of Honour was forced to ship with a multiplayer component, when the original plan was single-player only.
And they also brought forward the release date, causing programmers to rush the final coding - which is why the later levels seem so underwhelming.
And now The UK gets hosed yet again by EA.
Well, I hope nobody here wanted that game because you don't get it unless you order from the USA.
And no support outside of the US - so good luck folks.
Another example of EA pocketing money and flipping the bird.
Oh well, this wasn't a game I was looking forward to anyway, I'll try the beta and see what its like, but now I'll know not to build my hopes up on playing the full version.
Come on people, we can’t let those backstabbing swines keep getting to number one with FIFA all the bloomin' time.
Although they aren't all bad, they do release the Sims (though I’m not buying the next expansion pack...I’m getting it for free ;))
