Many people play games. Some completely suck at games, some can master them as a second instinct. But, what is it that actually makes you good at games?

Is it your reaction times?
In some cases it may well be, especially in the cases of Parappa The Rapper 2, Bishi Bashi Special and other games in that genre. Come to think of it, nearly all games rely on reactions to on-screen events. But, believe it or not, this is not what makes a player skilful at gaming.

Is it your eyesight?
Granted, I doubt that people who can't see well make great gamers. The sharper your eyesight, the more you will be in control of on-screen actions. But, your eyesight is not the key.

Is it your brain?
Again, without a brain you'd be a pretty below average gamer to say the least. The smarter you are, the quicker you will react, and you'll have a keener sense of what to do. Yet again, though, your brain is not the key?

Is it your ears?
Not really. You can sometimes hear distant gunfire or enemies approaching, but a lot of deaf people play games so this is not the essential thing.

Is it your wrists?
You need your wrists to hold the controller. Then again you could just put the controller down and use it as a keyboard. Moving right on..

Is it your fingers?
You need your fingers to press the buttons. Without them you'd be pretty powerless in gaming. Surprisingly though, this is not the key.

Is it your legs?
I cannot think of any constructive point that might assosciate your legs with gaming. Sorry.

So what's left?
Hands?
Basically the same as fingers.

Knees?
Again, I can't think of any way that your knees contribute to gaming skill. Unless you press the buttons with your knees. Which you don't.

Toes?
You could use your toes instead of fingers, but it would probably hurt.

Elbows?
No

Pelvis?
NO!!!!

So, is there anything left? What other part of your body could seriously alter your skill in gaming.

Well, the answer is...
FEET!
The smarter donkeys out there could've guessed from the title. Others couldn't.
Anyway, a recent experiment showed that people with bigger feet are clumsier, and as such also show negative gaming skill. People with smaller feet have more control over how they walk, and there gaming skill is reflected by this.

Hope this was an interesting way to waste your time.

Surely it's got be foot size relative to height here. Otherwise, what you're saying is that short people are on average, better at games than tall people. And dwarves are super gamers.

See that Mini-me? Unbeatable at Tekken.
