Ok so online gaming is now starting to come into its own with Xbox live and PS2 online by christmas in the u.s but who do you back? on the one hand you have microsoft, experienced online veterains yet still arent we all a bit reluctant to go microsoft? next the console kings sony ok so we all know that untill the months of late they have ruled undisputed the console industry but do we really want to spend around £40 + (going on the japanese costs) about £7 a month? and finally nintendo.Nintendo, although still appearing sceptical about online gaming the gamecube will have add on modems (available in japan on october 3rd) but do we want this reluctancy on our precious console?

So there we have it the 3 main online gaming machines xbox (working out at about £30 for a full 12 month starter kit), PS2 (working out at a rough estimate of £100+ for the first year) and Gamecube (£20+ for the modem and monthly prices to be confirmed). But hey arent we forgetting the true online king already online (even in the uk) no monthly subscriptions as standard and full upgradable and you have got one (well if you are reading this). The pc of course just look at the number of people on the unrel server at any one time and that will give you a tiny idea of the amount of online gamers and the only fee you have to pay is your personel internet fee.So whilst the new generation consoles online prospects are looking up im going to stick with my trusty old pc. Thanks for your time :)

I might go online with my Cube when it's available, but a 56k modem would be crap and Broadband will probably not get anywhere near me in the next 100 years!
