They're just games people can't you wait a bit for them. I like games as much as anyone and am trying to get a job in the games industry but why can't you wait for them instead of getting worked up cos they're delayed. All seems a bit geeky to me.

Aye, but these are games which don't just get one release date puched back, but are constantly delayed sometimes only weeks from their release. Its hard not to find these delays annoying, especially when they are hyped up as the best games of the year.
yeah but surely we are all civilised people who have otherways of entertainment other than computers.
Yes I can find other sources of entertainment, but that won't stop me getting annpoed when a game I've been waiting to play for tha last few years gets delayed once more. I can't really see what's so un-civilised with that, especially when things like TV, Movies and Music, rarely get the kind of delays games do.

you do know that GTA: Vice City has only been in production for one year? :)

I was talking about The Getaway, which has been in devlopment for 3 years. Oddly though, it gets delayed more than Vice City despite spending longer in devlopment.
I think thats partly because of the lack of "start from scratch" in Vice City, that The Getaway has to deal with. Where Vice City can adapt/modify/improve the original GTA3 formula, The Getaway has to think up entirely new systems, many of which don`t work, meaning they have to go back to the drawing board.
Its been the same for both Vice City and SSX Tricky. Once one game is out, its not hard to recreate a similar thing (another good example is FIFA).

Not as long as the PS2 one :D Assuming its still how it was two months ago.
