Dunno where to put this put anyway.
Im looking for people who ride BMX's. People that are street riders. People that use the street, to do tricks, I suppose :o) Anyway, you know who you are.
I need help and advice and choosing a bike etc.

MSN me and we'll talk. Thanks
> BMX's... pah!... you want a Chopper or a Grifter or summint...
Lol, no I dont :oP
Mess your added mate, next time your on we'll talk BMX :o)
However the two disciplines merge in some areas (both take ideas off the other and implement them into their new kit) and so I might be able to help you a bit.
First things first I'd recommend you to buy a few magazines and swot up before you head out into the daylight - the sport's politics (particularly BMX I'm afraid) are very elitist and if a bike-shop owner even gets the slightest whiff of a newbie he'll con you. Magazines like Dirt and Ride are good for dirt stuff, you might want to look into more BMX-specific stuff though if street is really what you're after.
Be aware though that street and dirt disciplines are mostly the same, ie; you don't need any different parts or anything for each discipline. So when you get quite proficient at biking I'd advise you to hit the trails.
Another option open to you is to just look a magazines' adverts (bike mags have hundreds of ads) and selecting parts for a custom bike. That way you'll ensure you'll get your dream bike, perfectly suited to your style, and it'll be cheaper than a factory bike too. If you can't put a bike together yourself then your nearest bike shop will charge £25 max for your privilege. They'll do it in around 5 days, depending how busy they are.
Anyway I'm trying not to write a huge piece, so if you want any help you acn find me at [email protected] and I'd be happy to help you further! : )
I looked around, and I need something that has cromo forks and at least most of the frame cromo.
Its some kind of special material. Makes the bike strong as hell, but light as anything.
Looked around. Seen a few decent ones, on the web mind.
I mean, I learned to bunny hop on a mates bike last night, he has a Specialized Vegas and its decent, although it cost him £270.
Seeing as I will be using it for doing tricks around the street/in skate parks. I figured that I want a street bike (Duh :oP)
Basically. I will use this bike to learn and progress. I need it to withstand multiple beatings and still ride near perfect.
For around £160.
USA have LOADS. I can buy from USA, although shipping is like, another £60.
Which sucks.
But any help would be great..
If you don't find them too expensive, get a GT or a Hoffman, which are both really good makes of BMX. Some GTs are heavy though, so if you're wanting to do tricks then don't always go for them.
I prefer GTs to Hoffman's, but Hoffman's are probably better for tricks overall.
