I'm sure many people here feel the same unless the main use for their computer is the internet.
However, with the short life-span of a computer these days (aka it is now old in a year or so and half the price) I feel PC Gaming is suffering as the growing demand for specs.
New games like "Mafia" I would love to play but my PC would simply freeze and I'd to swear at it again and then go cry in the corner. It's not that old yet I can't play a great new game so whats the point of buying a PC... well I'm sure games won't be the main aspect.
People must get bored and sick of wondering if the game will work or not and eventually give up and go buy a console and enjoy not having a bug infested, freezing computer to deal with.
What's your views please?

Not a problem I really have...
I'm still using the same P2 450 I picked up in 1998, and I've just finished having an online blast of Unreal Tournament 2003 online, with every option turned up to the max...
I think its fantastic that I can pick up a machine in the last century and still play games to a higher spec than consoles that were released this year! :)
nothing would give me more pleasure than to destroy it
I should of given up ages ago.
I must be stupid
I think I might save up for a console because my PC is really poor these days
