... bringing with him the news that there is a lifestyle that does not involve playing computer games. Indeed, the hedgehog has not, and has no wish to, play a computer games since leaving home to work for IBM down south.

Anyway, I'm having a great time. Hopefully some of the old crew are still here... and hopefully I still have my urine coloured name...

Nah, we have people who do that for us. In fact, we have a cafe Rizalla (or whatever that chain is called) in the building.

Well, I've put on my UCAS form that:

"I am a C programmer in an AIX environment, and am working in the protocol development team to create ISDN based software for use in automated telephone systems. I will also be assisting with the development of a Voice over IP solution using SIP"

Basically, I'm developing code for use in telephone systems (like the ones that say "press one to do this...", and working on using comp networks instead of telephone lines.

All pretty cutting edge stuff- well worth it. If anyone is interested in doing a gap year at IBM let me know.
