If there was ever a game to sell Nintendo's online idea then Pokemon it should be. It is as if the game was always meant to be an online game. Information transfer would be low and the game is so addictive that you would play for ages.
Online Leagues, championships, extra downloadable Pokemon and side quests, downloadable maps, joining forces to catch Pokemon.
It's a dream but naturally Nintendo remains stum.
