Yeah, I know, Warr has one. Thing is though, not many people aircool Pelts on today's processors - watercooling would be too easy.

So is Peliter cooling, that was being done on the old K6 chips, the new thing is Prometeia Micro Freezer Cooling Unit's, people are doubleing the speed of there systems.

Yes, I know all this, I've done the relevant calculations ffs.

And I am NOT going anywhere NEAR water. Besides, I want to see how far it will go on air. Water cooling is so unoriginal these days.

I find it pretty funny that you won't touch water cooling but are willing to use a peltier. I can't work that out, are you planning on pushing more from your cpu?, then if so more voltage will be needed thus more wattage heat from die, the peltier will not be being cooled enough on the hot side so will heat up the cold side and you will probably not see much differance at all in temps unless you run the cpu at stock speed and votage.

Goddamn it.

I've got one of the best heatsinks in the world with a 120mm fan on top taking air directly from outside the case, I CAN do it.

You could aircool a low power peltier but what the point in haveing such a low power peltier on your cpu i have no idea?, the only time you will have a differance is if you was to put a 220 watt peltier and that sort of heat will need water cooling, as a lower power peltier will not match an overclocked heat dissapation of the cpu, if you are able to air cool a high power peltier i will be extremely supprised mate.

You WON'T be able to do it.

Wrong, you can aircool them. I wish people would stop telling me you can't. Thanks though!

I got mine from maplins but you can get them from these sites to
www.extremecooling.co.uk
www.pclincs.co.uk

They also have them attached to water blocks, as you would need to at least water cool one you could not air cool one, also you would need to use dialectic grease to stop the cpu rusting and protect system from condensation, very big project but worth it when done right as you can clock the chip to hell and back and wack tons of voltage through it, or why not buy a pometheia (freezer unit, very nice) for about £400 :)
