Recently on SR I saw a message stating that someone had 256mb SDRAM AND 128mb DDR

How the hell does that work

Are DDR motherboards backwards compatible, or could I just plug DDR into my MSI K7T Turbo2 and it would work (the motherboard uses SDRAM)

someone explain because if I could use DDR it would be of great benifit

whoever said that has:

1) been lying
2) a dual motherboard PC (*foams at mouth*)
3) a strange motherboard that takes multiple RAM types, which in this instance I'm not sure if they exist...
