Apparently, MGS3 could be going xbox exclusive according to this web site. If this happens, expect to see a massive shift in market share from Sony to Microsoft. The fall out from this would be huge. Other game manufacturer's would follow this lead and also start producing xbox exclusive games. Lots of people (i mean a lot more than have so far bought xbox) would then go for Xbox, which in turn would increase the user base - so attracting even more games.

I dunno about a *Massive* market shift, but i have to agree it would be a huge coup for Microsoft. Although I cant see why Konami would want to commit themselves to one console.

There are three consoles out all getting a decent number of exclusive titles. All in all, it pretty much balances out.

Dave you should get out more.

Lets also not forget, PS2 lost the Resident Evil series to GameCube, and Abe's Odyssey went to XBox. There are still question marks over the future of FF as well. For now, i would stick with PS2, but in say a years time, who knows what the games market will look like.

i brought my PS2 origianly for GTA3 alone *ahem*

Same as, I bought my PS2 for GT3 alone though. But xbox/GC wernt out then...

I got all 3 consoles now though. I'm not rich, so i must be stupid.

So you two are basically saying that those games were worth in excess of £200??

Got my Xbox for Halo and my Gamecube for RE (even though I did buy early after playing SMB).
