"Annoying Xbox Advice Question...."

I know a it aout the PS2 and the GC. Before anyone says they're "inferior" I already have them and like 'em. But now I'm interested in Xbox and I know very little about it, so if anyone feels like helping;

Is the buffy game any good ?
What will be the top 5 games this Xmas on Xbox ?
Is the DVD playback good, through a scart cable (RGB) ?
Anything else worth mentioning ?

Common £160 is very good value for the machine your getting.

I thought Xbox was worth it at £300 so only the most critical of people will argue its not woth getting.

Games so far IMO have been good, the launch had some great games like Halo, PGR, DOA3, Munch etc. The summer months seen a dry spot for games but now during Autumn and Winter there will be loads- most of which look really good.

MGS Substance, Splinter Cell, Unreal Champ, Blinx+ loads of others(I think there are 300+ games in develpoment). The best versions of multiformat titles, Xbox Live, the games Rare could bring(Perfect drk 2), Halo 2- all are reasons alone to get an Xbox.

Yup - theres loads of good games coming out. :-) Your gonna love Splinter Cell - I've been following the progress on the game and it looks like a real MGS beater (which is a big challenge !)

Do you have broadband ? If so then goto xbox.com and watch the Halo 2 trailer. :-)

Might be worth you having a look at Steel Battalion too. It'll be more expensive than other games because of the controller that comes with it. But it certainly looks to be something special. :-)

Yeah I remember the lead up to launch date. ;-) I'm glad Buffy was delayed though as it was worth the wait while things were worked on. When I saw early footage of it, I was a bit worried it was going to be a flop. Since then though, the problems were dealt with and Buffy is now one of the best games you can get on X-Box right now. :-)

Lol, thanks, remember when Buffy was supposed to be a launch game ? :) I bought the official mag today and it look like theres plenty of decent stuff coming - Splinter Cell is looking amazing. Noticed there's a Dark Angel game coming out too..... :)

That's the one question that you don't need to ask about the X-Box. In my oppinion (which counts for s**t in general) it's the best game out for X-Box to date and is a must buy for anyone with the console :D

Actually the Mechwarrior series on PC has done well over the years so the chances are it could do quite well. I think Steel Battalion is the one that will really only appeal to the more hardcore mech fans.

me and sav remember that game too, well sav did stright away i didn't till i saw the screen shots.

you can be that old i'm 20 so your probably around 20-30?

Never played on an xbox....but i mite have toi buy it for Toejam & Earl 3 as those early games (on megadrive i think) 0wned :D......oh dear showing my age now :'(

Mech Assault wont do that well in Europe I bet, that kinda stuff appeals more to those crazy Japs.
