The machine is awesome.
Ridge V - Tekken Tag - TimeSplitters - NHL 2001
That's what I got with it; still waiting on SSX from SR as my Gameaday prize.
DVD playback - top-notch! Very little difference from my Sony DVP-S725D, so if there ever was a quality issue with the Japanese machines, it's been well and truly sorted.
And as I suspected, the games look FAR better when moving than any screenshots I've seen.
So... now that we all (well, a lot of us) have a personal experience of what it's like, I suggest that we respond to any cretinous posts from green-eyed monsters with a cool, calm... "Yeah, whatever."
Ta ta then folks... I'm off back to The Third Place...
I have to agree with people who say PS2 looks better when moving, I had a DVD of PS2 games from a magazine I was impressed by that they even look better in the game. I wish RR5 had anti aliasing like TTT but hey it still moves fast with graphics PC's and other consoles just cant produce.
I'm still going to wait for a Gamecube though (or play on my Amiga if it wasn't broken...)
My friend has decided to buy a PS2, in April time, mind. So I'll be able to agree with you about the games around about then. :)
Sorry. Seeing everything in a different sense ever since I started writing my books...
Suikoden
Alundra
Grandia
Vandal Hearts
Vandal Hearts 2
and personally I quite liked Wild Arms, though the games press panned it.
Have fun.
I was wondering about the Scart Cable that came supplied. Is it true that there are a few cables that I could buy that would make the Visual and Audio more crisp & sharp???
Is there any games you could recommend that are like Final Fantasy??? I would prefer PS2 games, but I suppose I could get a normal Playstation 1 game if there aren't any PS2 RPG's yet!!!
