Mikey, Mouth, Chunk and Data, I'm sure you remember the Goonies. The movie came out in the mid 80ies and was a big hit with kids everywhere. We all wished we could go off with our friends and have Indiana Jones like adventures and find treasure. Now we've grown up and so have they, so what have they been up to since their Goonie adventures 20 years ago?

Mikey (Sean Astin) continued to make more movies. In the early 90ies I remember him in Toy Soldiers when terrorists took over his boarding school. We saw him again in California Man, with a young Brendan Fraser playing a frozen caveman who they use to gain popularity in their school. After that he did a few more movies but nothing I've really noticed. He had almost disappeared from my memory when he came back in 2001 as Sam, the chubby hobbit friend of Frodo Baggins in Peter Jacksons Lord of the Rings. It was a big hit and so lead to him getting even more offers. Nice to see him doing well and I hope he chooses his work carefully.

Mouth (Corey Feldman) before the Goonies he had already done a lot of work in several TV shows and movies such as Mork & Mindy, 2 Friday 13th films oh and Gremlins. After the Goonies he did do more films, but nothing major I can remember oh except The Burbs, where he played a "dude" next door, I think that film was on the other day actually. Not really sure about Corey, I know he battled with drug problems which did mess up his career a bit. I think he recovered but he's done little work lately.

Chunk (Jeff Cohen) "do the truffle shuffle" heh, I think that was something he did before The Goonies. Since the Goonies he's lost a lot of weight here he is, you can still see the Chunk in him :) While at university he became President of the Associated Students. His campaign posters featured a picture of himself from his Goonies days and the simple slogan, "Chunk for president." He also did his famous "Truffle Shuffle" at football games for the crowd. I believe he's not an Entertainment lawyer in LA.

Data (Jonathan Ke Quan) you'll remember him the year before Goonies in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It was actually his brother who was trying to get the role that he eventually landed. Apart from mastering taekwondo and spearking 4 languages he really hasn't done much since the Goonies. I don't remember him in California Man but apparently he's been a stunt choreographer in X-men and Jet Li's The One.

Well that's all of them, except Brad the older brother and the two girls. Brad (Josh Brolin) is still making movies, nothing major. He looks quite different now looking at his photos on IMDB. Andy (Kerri Green) did a few TV roles, like in ER. Stef (Martha Plimpton) has still been making movies and appearances in TV shows, nothing I've seen though.

Well that's about it, oh excellent for this nice little YouTube clip I found.

I must admit I still haven't bought the Goonies DVD with the cast commentary. I read comments about how Corey was being an idiot on it. I'm sure I'll get round to seeing it one day.
