It is currently in demo form but a game like this COULD work.
Run your own restaurant, win awards for best food, learn to cook properly, more money and expand your restaurant, train others etc... etc....
Could actually be a big hit in the same way Brain Training and Nintendogs has been a big hit.
It is these sorta ideas that'll make the Revolution special. Simple, fresh ideas that will capture the imagination of new types of gamers from different walks of life.
The act of cooking is the main part of the game. Perhaps not running a restaurant but mastering skills in order to be a better chef. Maybe harder things to cook as the game progresses and the restaurant star rating increases.
Nintendo would prob be better off producing a game with just the cooking part in it - hundreds of different dishes to cook etc - it might have a more concentrated appeal. Having the cooking part thrown in with a restaurant sim would place less emphasis on the fun bit (the cooking) and it mightn't turn out as well overall.
But then again, we are talking about a (possible) future Nintendo game - and they can make anything fun! So who knows?
