Have it ever come to you why SR give games away for free?

Well it has to me right now and why do they do it?

anyway it is so good that they do it and i am not saying they should stop but i was just wondering.

It gets people to the site, so they buy stuff. It gets people to the site, so they make more money from advertising. It saves them the trouble of reviewing every single game/DVD/product, and the good reviews which they want people to see are highlighted as winners, meaning people are more likely to read them, then buy the stuff since they usually give good marks

Someone might have posted this whilest im writting but with user writting reviews for the games on the SR website, the games are being advertised. With the games being advertised, SR make money so the can give away a bit of dosh. I'm not sure why they give away money for posts but who cares? Not sure about hints and cheats either, but can any one remember those cheat books SR gave away when you bought a game?

because it draws people to the site, creates customer loyalty and gains them a bigger share of the market........and because they are very kind and considerate human beings!
