Also that Nintendo have stated that they haven't sold them.
They have lost Doak and co. But they do still have Chris Seavor and excellent excellent man.

The whole engine was originally coded for Conkers - Twelve Tales or whatever the original (non-mature) version was going to be called and that was completed in 1998 then the dudes left. The newbies finished it off and spent 2 years changing the content of the game in terms of story line etc.
Conker however is a Rare property. I believe we will have a sequel to that game oneday....

Is that true becase I've always said CBFD was great at the start and hilarious throughout the entier beggingin sections (I'll never forget the giant poo) but it kind of dropped a lot toward the middle then picked up a little again at the end.
Rare haven't been the same company since all those coders and workers left and joined Free Radical (guys who created Goldeneye and all the other excellent Rare games before then), they are also the people behind Timesplitters and Timesplitters2. What have Rare given us since then?
Conkers Bad Fur Day? Which was started by the people that left and then left to be finished by the newbies are Rare.
I don't have faith in them anymore. They are crap without the original people who made the company successful.
P.S Resident Evil is panttzwetting. :D
Don't care about Perfect Dark, if you ever bothered to notice I never praised that game (or even mentioned it) ever basically because it kinda bored me, good game though just not up to Goldeneye scratch.
I wish they would though, I want another Banjo game.
Damn!
:-D

Rare made the characters, it's just that because Nintendo own them, they let Nintendo have a share of the trademark.
They weren't planning to go multiformat in those days...
Personally, I think Nintendo ought to give Rare their franchises back.
I doubt they plan to make proper use of them themselves.
Anyway, even if Rare do lose the PD franchise, it probably matters little.
They managed fine without the Bond liscense and it allowed them to give their game more character. Although the alien levels did sort of suck...
Having to re-design the game's setting would allow Rare to be creative and make a brand new setting for a fresh experience.
Yeah, I know it'll be an Xbox exclusive, but at the rate MS are cutting the Xbox price, by the time it comes out, the Xbox will be dead cheap anyway. :-)
