OK, don't read on if you don't want to know what happens in this piece-of-cack-of-a-film.

That bit in the trailer with the knife under the door. It isn't in the film. When it comes up to that bit, it's an alien's hand instead of a paw.

There, that's the only clever bit in the film - the trailer was made to fool you!

The rest of it, Mel gibson questions his faith after his wife gets hit and killed by a car, his kids hate him and he sees aliens and aliens DO come to Earth and you see them and everything.

There you go, you don't have to waste your money on it now!

Umm, that's a little poorly thought out isn't it? Any humid day, the aliens would be wlking around burning up a la vampires due to the water content of the air...

Oh yeah, at the end you hear over the radio that they've developed a primitive means of killing the aliens. Then one appears in Gibbo's house with his kid in it's hand, so Jack-one-off Phoenix keeps hitting it with a baseball bat until eventually it gets splashed with water and starts melting. WATER KILLS THEM. What a crock of fudge. Aliens travel millions of light years only to get defeated by some bloke from Gladiator and his baseball bat and some water. Coincidentally, it's mentioned earlier on that Wackwan has baseball records AND Gibbo's little daughter has a condition where she leaves loads of glasses of water everywhere. hmmm, how convenient.

The gimmick M. Night Shyamalan used is having different footage in the trailer to that of the film. The bit where Gibbo approaches the door and uses the knife to look under is different. In the trailer you get a dog's paw, but in the film it's an alien's hand that reaches right under and he chops some of it's fingers off.

cheers, looks like a "wait til it's out on DVD and absent mindedly download a DIVX rip to watch at some point, probably flicking through half the film in the process" sort of movie...

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
