Looks to me like many games developed by Nintendo's second parties gave Nintendo trademarks and copyright on them. Except for Perfect Dark and Conker, of the ones I checked. These being later N64 titles, did Rare make sure they owned what they needed, thinking about making a split?

I don't really know what any of this stuff means, or if it's at all relevant, but it might be.
Hmm.. this looks good for Nintendo if Rare go, apart from the Conker and Perfect Dark front. Dringo posted a while ago that Perfect Dark was partly owned by Nintendo too, I take it this isn't true?
Does that mean Nintendo own Blast Corps?
Pity. I'd have liked to have seen Rare pick that one up again.

I think you'll find that the Names themselves are more important than the Game trademark.
Nintendo do indeed own the following Franchises:
Donkey Kong,
Diddy Kong,
(Any other 'Kong'),
Killer Instinct,
Banjo Kazooie and it's characters too, evidence of this points to the ownership of the name of Banjo Tooie as well, from Nintendo.

Looks to me like many games developed by Nintendo's second parties gave Nintendo trademarks and copyright on them. Except for Perfect Dark and Conker, of the ones I checked. These being later N64 titles, did Rare make sure they owned what they needed, thinking about making a split?
