After reading the topic about Wario World being put back i decided to make this topic!

What would you feel is a good enough time to wait between game releases (Ninty games i mean!)?

I'd think that if Nintendo could release one of their games every month this would be sufficent time for people to say play and complete Mario Sunshine and then buy say Eternal Darkness!

Now if they could keep to a 'game a month' with the added amount of 3rd party games in between I don't think there would be a point where you didn't have new game to play. This would help keep you playing your Cube (and GBA!) and boost the selection of games on the humble Cube!

Well thank's for reading and I'd like to hear your views!

Yeah, Great Idea Jim! Just imagine though, if there was one game a month, it would allow me to (hopefully, and with a lot of work) get them as they come out.

Still, it won't happen, but as long as Ebay and the Freeloader exist, I will be able to get NTSC games cheap and before they come out here, so if I strategically plan it, In theory, I would be able to get a game a month.

If I'm lucky. :)

To convert a game from NTSC to PAL does take a bit of time, but I don't think it should take that long.

Wasn't there a game which got released in the US and UK at almost the same time..... some major release but I've forgotten what it is.

As for a game a month. I guess that's reasonable. Back in the day when I was at school and had a job, that's pretty much what I use to do. But now I'm a starving uni stundent and can't afford a full priced game every month. But I'm sure that'll be rectafied when I finish uni, and go into a HIGHLY paid job! Then I'll be in gaming heaven..... well in the time I'll have off to play them that is!

The only things that I can think of would need changing between a US and UK game are

1) Running times and that stuff to do with the sharpness on TV's and making it work on a PAL machine!

2) Text, it may have to be de-Americanised (LOL is that a word?)

3) The box art and deatils!

Thats all I can think of!

I for one have stated this fact to NOM itself in a letter I just sent a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully it will be good enough to be published in the mag that comes out on Friday, then even more hopefully I get the monthly prize that comes with the best post.

What i dont get is why it takes so long for games to be released in europe when they have been released in the US for ages. Prime example, star fox advertures. Its out in the US at the end of September, but we have to wait till November over here.

Also I think Nintendo purposely allocate dates for cetain games in conjunction with the significance of the day. For example, Resident Evil is being released on Friday 13th - A well known day for "evil" things to (supposedly) happen.

Also I bet u any money that games on all formats will be going up in price especially around christmas time. Last year i noticed games like Devil May Cry were selling in shops for £45 instead of the usual £40 or £35. Its just a way of cashing in on demand over the christmas period.
