As we all know Scholes missed the England Game and there was a huge uproar when he played for United about Club vs Country blah blah but do people not look at the facts?
He infact did get injured and was stretchered and albeit played in that game he just came back from injury and Sir Alex played him to try and either regain fitness or because we were forced to play him with the injury to keano, however it seems to have got worse and now he has to have an op which will keep him out for up to 6 weeks.
I just wish everyone would get their facts right before mouthing off and I hope this is the end of the matter.
This may happen to many English players over the course of the season and it wouldnt get as much as media attention than if its a United player - Guranteed.

But with Keano also out of the picture now, Butt and Veron will most definatly get the central partnership, therefore we will able to see if Veron has come good or not.

I've said it before, and i'll say it again....
"With Scholes out of the picture for a while, this is a great chance for Veron to come-in and prove that he can do it in the Premiership!"
But since the last time I said that, nothing's really changed.
It seems more likely that Butt will come-in and force Scholes out rather than Veron pushing him away with some good consitency!

well the mirror's turned into a absolute disgrace now it's not worth the paper it's printed on.
Why everyone is having a go at Fergie for taking Scholes and Becks out the squad is beyond me. What if Becks and Scholes had got a even worse injury in that friendly? Would the FA have compensated Man United for the probable loss of a champions league place without 2 of their best players? No they wouldn't so why should Fergie risk his players and championship hopes for a meaningless friendly? The main people who are complaining i bet are the Liverpool, Arsenal and Leeds fans who's ulterior motive was to hope Becks or Scholes got clattered in that match and are out for a season, they couldn't give 2 *bleep* about England beating Portugal.

Using the quote "I hope he gets hammered because it might put him off a bit" But those idiots left out his next few words where he said "No, not really, I am only joking."
