I'm hoping that they (Hasbro is it?) can turn around the fortunes of the name. Despite being one of the major players in the earlier days of home consoles, it's a name that I came to associate with failure and dire products.
The Atari ST was a sub-standard machine compared to the Amiga and was thankfully short-lived. And we all know what a wash-out the Jaguar was.
As the technology moved on, Atari got left behind in terms of hardware and software, and I wasn't at all surprised when they went under.
Now though the name is being used on some quality titles - V-Rally 3 and Stuntman being two of the latest. Ironic, though, that it is Atari in name only.
