On GameFaqs polls, PS2 was rated as the console with the second best online plans.

PC came first, but GC and XBox got about 2% of the votes each.

PS2 Online hasn't been confirmed for a release date, it's hard to get connected even in America, half of the planned onlone games are now going out without Online capabilities (Auto Modellista, TimeSplitters 2)

I don't know what XBox and GC are planning to do online, but what do you think of all this?

But you won't have people around all the time!

Personally, I think that having 4 people round for a game of say... Halo is great fun but can you imagine all 4 of you playing as a team against 4 other people!?!

Great fun!

Plus people are more fun than bots...

Online doesn't do anything for me. I do not intend to play games over a poor 56k analogue modem, and my area is not served by broadband - and wont be for a very long time (not enough people or industry). In any case, I couldnt afford the current broadband monthly fee's like £20-£30.

You only need a multi tap if you have a PS2. I really can't see the point in paying for broadband and whatever other costs are involved to play a load of faceless opponents that really might as well be BOTS at the end of the day.

Get some mates round, get some alcohol, get a Gamecube with 4 controllers and play Smash Bros Melee. Much more fun

Online gaming will be well good cos you don't have to get a multitap, you can play it when you want.

I think everyone needs to get some friends and screw playing online, it's a complete waste of time. Why waste your money playing against spot covered nerds over the other side of the planet when you can just get some mates round and play mulitplayers games the way they're suppoed to be played.
