Time will tell. Can the X-Box put a serious dent into the revenue that the big 3 currently reap from the gamers who spend their hard earned money on the latest games? If so, will the quality of the big 3's output become worse due to lack of revenue for their respective development budgets.
Will Sega be forced to merge with Nintendo, as the current gossip in the gaming world is indicating should happen? Or will the X-Box wipe them out completely, leaving only Sony to battle it out for the golden rewards available to the market leader in the gaming industry?

They're not from Japan. So it would be nice to see a console out of Japan to do well.
