How about a game that gives you the qualifications you need for the job of you choice. If you want to be a taxi driver then a game is available for you to be a taxi driver. If you want to be a bus driver then use the bus driver. It is simular to a simulator for people who want to be pilots of a plane. The good thing about this though is it is the price of a game and can be done at home. But how does it work?
Well you get the game or what I call a 'rewarding game' because it gives you something for your hard work. After you plug it in your PS2, Gamecube or X Box a screen will appear telling you the items you need to do the 'rewarding game.' For example if you want to be a taxi driver you need a steering wheel, if you want to be a bus driver you need a bigger wheel and if you want to be a zombie hunter then you need a gun. (Just kidding... or am I?) But all need a microphone. This helps will your communication skills because as everyone knows all jobs involve talking. A bit expensive I bet you're thinking, but what about if you get the stuff you need with the 'rewarding game?'
Great so far right? But how does the 'rewarding game' work? Well you get all the equipment you need and start up the console. Now firstly you have three modes. Practice, Test and Instructions. Practice is just a mode where you are given the kind of situations for that job eg. picking up people in a bus. If you crash then there's no worry because it's not like the test mode where it's the real thing. In and out of cones picking up people and just plaim attitude will give you a hard run for your money just like the real thing. Then Instructions are the final option. Before playing (well I shouldn't say playing as it sounds irresponsible.) you must read these as you know what you're doing.
So you're all set to get what you want, a great job. But is this 'rewarding game' real enough or just a reason to bring out another simulation game? The graphics are good and the sounds are needed for the people talking. The bus or taxi handle like in real life and the till of a shop till works in the same way as the real life ones.
Just to give you an idea here's two people trying out the bus simulation:
You start the game up and go on test. In and out of the cones, everything seems to be going fine. The 'reward game then simulates an actual bus trip. You pick people up and are the most polite you've ever been in your whole life. You're confident you've done it and to no surprise you're right.
You kick away the empty cans of beer and throw the pizza boxes behind the sofa. You turn on the console and try the test. Hitting down all the cones you then try being a bus driver. Saying things like "Nice breasts" and "you *****" you lose 23 of your 27 passengers. But it doesn't end there. Blood smeared over the window you've run over 56 people. BANG! What was that? Better make it 57. Your score is... well it's best left alone.
So the score system will be pretty accurate and if you suck then you can forget getting a job. But on the other hand if you do well you can get the job.
Okay so I've passed the test and I am now ready to become a bus driver, what happens now? The employers can't see what you've done on the television so how do they know if you're any good? Well the memory cards you use now would be updated to save you score on the test. You take it to the company of your choice. For me it would be Reading buses. Then then put it in their console and see you score. If it's good enough then you get the job. Congratulations!
So there you have it. The easy way to get a job. Okay so it may not happen in the future but if it does then I think it would be great. Maybe a little dangerous if some people come up with some kind of cheats for it. Like type HDMEPOS to get all the perfect scores on the tests. Then you're in trouble. But it would be great for those less talented.

"When you look in your pants, you have an enormous hard-on, so instead of getting off on dead skunks..."
damn funny.
He rules, for I am him.
The whole job seeking trauma in a game, yay ;)
Kinda liked the idea where you take your memory card in as proof of qualifications or whatever but I can't see it catching on for obvious reasons, nice idea all the same.
