So, is this game really out yet?

ive played a bit more turok today and i have to say its etting much better! The multiplayer levels are very good but the only problem is is the framerate. If it was smoother then the multiplayer would have been awesome.

Just got the sniper gun and its added much more depth to the game - stealth. Other than that i have found the game is a tad difficult in that u have to take your time in each level. Also its annoying having to start a level again just because u fell off a cliff edge.

Hmmm, the PS2 version sounds like it's much worse than the XBOX version.
But still, Turok Evolution is nothing more than an okay game.... and just "okay" isn't good enough.
It's not moved on from the N64 games at all.

i know i'll get comments but even the N64 game was half decent.

I ordered Turok evolution on Monday from SR. After realising what a huge mistake I had made on Tuesday (From reading poor reviews) I wanted to cancel my order. However I thought it might be worth the wait because of all the hype surrounding the game.

This morning it arrives at my door. I couldnt play it straight away cos I had work today. Ive just come home and played around 20 minutes of it before I became extremely bored of it.

These are the faults:-

-Bad framerate
-Crap graphics (Looks Playstation1)
-Crap AI (The dinos and dino men just stand and shoot in random place)
-Crap sound effects (It sounds like a snes game, ok maybe a bit better)
-Loads a new section of the level every 10 minutes
-Really bad pop-up

I havnt found any good point yet!!!

Anyway for people who are considering to buy this game "DONT" because u will only regret it. I now know why acclaim underwent such a massive advertising promotion for it, because it is CRAP.

The first two chapters (which are training levels) are really dull, but after that from Chapter 3 onwards it picks up and it's good.
It's quite hard though, from what I\ve seen, there's no mid-level checkpoints saves.

But overall: don't judge the game (like I initially did) on the first two chapters - it gets better.

Im thinking of getting it on GC

I know that... I did it with Frantic Flea, for Christ's sake.
