News on the web today confirmed that the recently released pictures of the X-Box are in fact fakes. Being cynical, is Microsoft smirking at all this free publicity they are getting for the pending console? Or are they in fact starting all the rumours themselves? I don't think so, with us lot about they don't need to start rumours, we do it all for them. But is the X-Box in danger of being overhyped and then becoming a bit of a disappointment, a bit like Road Rash 3-D was when it was released onto the PSX for the first time?
