The 4th of October is the day which every single person who has ever watched a fat plumber jumping around a screen in amazement has been waiting for, gamecube in hand with baited breath. Yes, on that day, Super Mario sunshine will be released to the british public.

But it is just about 1 whole month before the official release date and, as the seconds pass like hours while we are waiting for the sunshine to brighten our lives, what can we do? Well here are a few suggestions to help you pass those minutes...

-Become an Import Gamer

Import gaming is something that only the most die hard of gamers do, and is something that, when older, I would love to dabble in. Whilst being able to get Sunshine Earlier, you can also get them crazy 'Japan only' games which have wacky storylines whichmake no sense, whimsical graphics as well as a mental main character.

To get one you will either have to buy a foreign gamecube or get the 'freeloader' cd. Getting a foreign gamecube is a good idea if you are (a) rich (b) going on holiday to Japan or USA (c) Resurrection (stupid). If you are not going on holiday to Nintendos homeland or stateside then you will have to pay an import company an inflated price for a foreign 'cube. The alternative is getting the Freeloader CD, which costs around £15. All you have to do is pop it into the little purple box and you can play any foreign games. A much better idea than the 1st one.

Advantages - Games Not to be released, telling everyone you've finished sunshine before they've even touched the disc...

Disadvantages - Unless Freeloader performs miracles, or there is a language change option on the games, You'll have to deal with a foreign language to go along with (unless you spek japanese, costs more to import games...

-Dress Up In A Red Suit and shout 'It's a Me' In an Italian Voice

This is the one that I personally reccomend myself, aslong as you video tape it and send it to me. this only for the extremist, or someone desperate for a job and will to work for Nintendo on the petty minimum wage that it will most probably pay.

To do this you will have to buy or rent a red suit, grow or pain on a moustache and be able to pull off a high pitched Italian accent while jumping 10 feet in the air. Having to do that on a ht summers day, or even on a tropical island would be a hrad job. My advice would be to get an out of work actor to do it, God knows they'd be that desperate.

Advantages - Laugh at the poor soul whos in the costume..

Disadvantages - Would cost a lot to get a troop of midgets to dress up as koopa troopas and let someone jump on there heads to make it more realistic.

- Buy an X-Box

Just had to throw in one X-Box joke for a laugh.

-Kidnap Miyamoto

I would love to do this one, but it is much too high risk for me. Kidnapping Miyamoto would take a lot of skill and precision if it was to work.

To get him you'd probably have to wait until he was doing his garden and then appear dressed (i've used the idea, I know) as a pikmin. While he thinks of new ideas you could snatch him and demand for a PAL version of sunshine.

Advantages - May get a game named after you: 'Pikidnapmin'

Disadvantages - Prison and proabably sentenced to play X-Box for life.

she does infact get kidnapped but not by bowser ... oh no ... she gets kidnapped by that water mario right near the start , then you save her , then she gets kidnapped again , and then you dont see her , i guess till the end of the game when you save her. And guess who water mario is .... if you read on from here , then it will spoil the game a bit for you , not that it really matters of course ...

not just yet ...

It's...

Bowsers ... SON !! And he kidnapps Peach because bowser told him that she was his "muma" , so he sent him to kidnap peach and to frame mario by dressing up as him , hoping that he would be put in prison so that he couldn't save peach , but they dont put him in prison and it foils all of his plans... ahhhh , i told you , you shouldn't have read this , it's a main part of the story ! Well it was your choice.

Sunshine is practically guaranteed to rule!

I've watched many-a-video of it in action, and the one of Mario fighting a mechanical bowser whilst situated on a moving rollercoaster is pure genius! Ohhh...I can't wait! :D

I think that the weirdo that fininshed the import game said that Peach does need saving after she is kidnapped sometime during the game.

I think it could beat Mario 64 - due to the elements of the ultimate Mario game; Super Mario World, inclduing a rideable Yoshi and those fences you can climb to name as a few.

And the storyline differs this time too.
But without Bowser, and without a Peach to save, this may seem to be too different to be considered a contender.

But I can't wait!
With a new WaterCannon and more massive worlds to explore, I can't wait for my pre-ordered copy to arrive!! :D

This totally reminded me of the game, Wonder Project J2, ahhhh those Japanese.

Anyway, Mario Sunshine looks to be great but a Mario 64 beater? As much as I would love that I would have to say it would be too hard, it'll be one of the most enjoyable games I will play just not a beater of his 64 adventure.

Well that's what methinks. :)
