But i prefer games that dont have blood, guns and stuff in (not saying that i dont like them but they need to be good). Im after really orginal games and so far nintendo, and some of rare games, are the only ones that have given me the chance, with other developers making one only to ruin it by making sequals after sequals of it that are almost i dentical.
And no matter how good a game is most people will get bored of it after a few years.
When i got my gamecube i read loads of mags about the great games coming out.
But i dont think they are as good as they were made out to be or as i was expecting.
Now i had all 3 new console. And i wasnt expecting really good games to come out on ps2 and Xbox, i mean REALLY good games*. But for the GC i was expecting some of the best games ever.
*Im not being a fanboy but games like GTA3 are not my kinda thing, i got bored of it quite fast. And MGS2 was also a sequal and one that didnt live up to the first. Halo is the only real game on a console that i really would call a must have game, but its out on pc, soon.
Now maybe i was spoilt when i had my N64 becuase when i was starting to get into gaming in a big way games like Zelda and perfect dark were being released.
So all i really remember is later in to the consoles life, i dont remember mario 64 and goldeneye, and how they changed the standards of gaming.
So i can remeber how big Zelda was, how big perfect dark was, and i think it has ruined my life.
When i got the Console some of the first games i had were, PD, Zelda.
And becuase of this i have my standard of games very high. Maybe if i was older and i got the N64 on the first day out i would realise that games like this dont happen everyday.
Now dont get me wrong im not saying the games are bad, far from it, i think these games have the quality to be good but they dont just go that extra yard, making the games very above average.
Now with mario sunshine, starfox and Die hard coming out i will get to play the games i expect from a nintendo console.
I don't like games with blood, guts and guns apart from gta3, i don't mind the occasional beat um up but that's about it.
I prefer games that require some brains, or that is original.
That's why i chose gamecube, it has so many original games.
Just because a game doesn't contain blood etc. it is classed as kiddy by some people
* stares at the xbox and sony fanboys*
I would never buy a game just because it contains violence, i buy a game for injoyment and fun and no matter what it looks like, or how kiddy people say it is, as long as it is enjoyable (by my standards) i will buy it.
