Think about it. It gives MPs more incentive to do their jobs, and potentially saves taxpayers money. Budget gaps created by under par performance can be filled by increasing staff levels with the wages that haven't been earned.
I think it has potential.

Everybody knows what a joke the unemployment figures actually are with all the "seasonal adjustments" and "new way of calculating" etc that are made.
How many ways are there to actually count up 10 people that are not working ?
As for believing the figures, well obviously an independant group would be brought in to gather the numbers.
you can't trust government statistics, since they are filtered enough so as to render them useless.
Like unemployment, which is calculated by only counting those not incapable of working, those not actively seeking jobs, and those not long term unemployed, etc etc.
Which is why the figure is so low all the time these days.
The length of the NHS waiting times ? School exam results ? Reductions in Street crime ? How many countires we needlesley invade ?
And would we believe any figures that were given to us anyway ? I doubt it.
" Due to the new way that has been created to calculate the figures for the length of the NHS waiting times (i.e. dont include ops for anybody over the age of 35) we have reached our target 6 months early and will award ourselves a 200% bonus - you voted for us so there !! "
