She was born. The start of the pain. It seemed like a new entry into the world, a new person to make it a better place. It seemed like she was going to be something. But then her ill mother died when she was still very little. They never spoke to each other. She never heard her own daughter's first word. They didn't dress up dolls/climb into treehouses or even do simple things like bake together.
Then she grew up, and he was past toddler, but not teenager. The real 'child' of childhood. A fun time for everyone else perhaps, but the shell covering this girl's fear was cracking. Her father had found a girlfriend, and the two girls (twins) were happy. That was, until, they found out about the true girlfriend. She hit them. She was abusive to them. And their father didn't believe them. Or that was, until he walked in and saw it for himself. It was horrible.
Now she is a teenager, 15, growing up to be someone bright, beautiful, sporty, healthy and mostly happy. Even now though, the scars show. She has been turned down by countless boys, has gone out with countless good looking and other boys, and much more. She has shared her experiences with other, through poetry, acting and writing. The pain though, no matter how much she holds it in, or lets it out, shows.
There is a new girlfriend in the scene now though. And she's nice. It seems things may get better.
Just think - in comparison, how bad is your life?
Not that bad? Well be happy.
For theres no reason not to be. So smile more. You're only young once. :)
It may be dramatic, but it just shows - are you really that hard done by?
