Coming out on film soon. Matt Damon, damn good choice for the titular character. Hoho.
But read the book first, is what I'm going to ask you to do. Except those of you that can't read. It's by Robert Ludlum, came out in the 80s and has a superb plot, with Soze-esque plot twists.
I imagine the film's going to be different. In fact, I know it is, because I've seen the trailer. And he doesn't have a passport with Jason Bourne on, doesn't pay Marie St Jacques to drive him. He kidnaps her, which is probably to anti-heroish for a mainstream Hollywood film.
So read it. Then read The Bourne Supremacy and then the Bourne Ultimatum.

Heh. I've been told that it is worth seeing, but not as good at the book. It's completely different from the book. For example, Clive Owen plays an assassin called "The Professor", and thats nowhere in the book. But Matt Damon is a good actor, IMHO, and it'll be interesting to see him play all out action.
Besides, Ronin has a better car chase than The French Connection ;)

I don't know about this film.
I think it looks a bit poo, but I might go and see it anyway due to the lack of anything else to see. In fact I was going to go and see it tonight, but I've opted to see "Frailty" instead, which looks very similar to the Usual Suspect (crook tells story to cop with a big motherfunning twist at the end) and it's been compared to Night of the Hunter, which I liked a lot. Though it doesn't look very similar to that.
As for the Bourne Identity it purports to have a better car chase than the French connection. I doubt this a lot, but if you go and see it and agree that the car chase is better I will take your word and go see it. Maybe :-)
