i PERSONALLY love them and their music, there is much meaning behind it if you actually listen to it, and stop dising them with out knowing. corey taylor is also in stone sour with one other from slipknot. they are great too! you should listen to bother, it is the best...

I'll stop talking now I think.
("ignorance is bliss..." what the f*f**k was I thinking)
Sorry.
I find it Ironic that the people that moan about Slipknot only being popular because of their image are also judging them on the same premise. Surely a band should be about the music. If you listen to something and don't like it fair enough, but don't slate the band and even the fans without even having any real reason to.
I listen to Slipknot, I've seen them live at a couple of festivals, I can understand why people both would and would'nt like them. Why can't others do the same.
End Rant.
You don't know crap all about them and dont give them a chance. Fine if you don't like that music but don't be such incompetent small minded wan*ers and make stuff up. It actually takes a hellava lot of talent to do what they do. Unlike crappy garage where all they do is say 'ENTER' over and over again. And all that stuffs made on computers. And R&B is just people talking about how many women they shagged and how much drugs they do tryna be cool. The reason Slipknot wear masks is because you don't need to see their expressions to understand their music. All they're giving you is their masks which is saying it doesn't matter who I am or what I look like. Its all about the music.

The only Slipknot part I like is the first Grind/Noisecore esque intro of People = ****. It all goes down-hill after that.
I prefer the delights of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Botch, Burnt by the Sun, Drowningman etc.
If ignorance is bliss, then wipe the smile off my face.
It is a little known fact that the recordings which were actually meant to be put on the album were neo-classical opera based around a pan-pipe orchestra, that Slipknot are nine camp Hungarian chefs, and that 'slipknot' in Hungarian actually means 'Really incredibly $hite and not worth wasting your hard-earned hearing on.
