I think it was something to do with Viera spouting off abuse at the official aswell as a combined sending off offence
Wait a second, if the red card against Cole was rescinded, why the hell wasn't Vieira's? Neither booking was jusified, and now we can't use him against Bolton! D'urso will be hearing from my lawyer very soon...

That is true but I think its got to do with the reputation that Cole's got, it applies to a few others, one perfect example being Klinsmann, when he used to go down everyone used to shout cheat, diver etc gronkjaer is a man of few words or reputations and Viera is well known for being a great player with a temper therefore the attention is put on him. Its wrong but thats how football is these days.
As I said in another thread - the incident was identical to when Cole's follow-through caught Cisse in the Birmingham match.
Then, Cole was labelled a cheat and a diver, so why isn't the Chelsea guy?
Cisse got sent off, but the appeal was upheld. The same should apply this time, but with the FA, who knows.
