As many of you are aware, Sony's very own developer Yoshi Yoshimoshi was the creator of the very first game to star the totally original Super Larry-O, Mule Kong! From there on, Yoshi YoshiMoshi has developed and supervised the developments of the complete Larry-O series starting with Larry-O Bros, then Super Larry-O Bros, then the not so well made Super Larry-O Bros 2: Carrot Capers and recently Super Larry-O Bros 3.

For the first time in videogame history, Yoshi Yoshimoshi has agreed to an interview with one lucky gamer who just happens to be me. So representing the entire gaming community, this is how the interview went...

Q. Yoshi Yoshimoshi, this is an honour being the first person in the world to interview you, let alone speak to you, about your wonderfully original videogame series called Larry-O Bros. The question everyone wants to know is, why the name 'Mule' Kong when Mule is clearly a giant ape?

A. At the time of creation, Kong was a Mule on a comic strip I had drawn for my own amusement. The female character in the game, Paula, was named after Paula from my top-shelf magazines collection - she liked to play with mules, so I thought it fitting to include her too. It wasn't until after I created Walk-man (which later became an audio-device for Sony's music industry) who is now called Larry-O, that I changed the game to make Mule the bad guy capturing Paula.

Q. Ok...that's quite unexpected but I'm sure the gamers will be pleased to know about that. Another question that seems to be on everyone's minds at the moment - You claim that the Larry-O series has nothing to do with the Super Mario series (like you did with the comparison between the SNES and Playstation controllers), yet the games are so similar! What's the deal with that?

A. **wipes beads of sweat from forehead** I assure you there is no relation between Larry-O and Mario. Any similarities are purely coincidental. Infact, Princess Pansy looks nothing alike Nintendo's Princess Toadstool. Did Princess Toadstool ever where extremely tight bikinis and wet T-shirts in the games she featured in?

Q. Not that I am aware... On a slightly different subject - was there an Irish influence on the Super Larry-O games? After the introduction of the evil king of the lizards, Boozer, in Super Larry-O Bros, the games seem to have become very drink-related.

A. Well, unlike Nintendo, we have a 'cool' reputation we'd like to keep. Ofcourse this means that we have to include such things as nudity, sex, drugs and if possible, gallons of thick, red, blood. That is why in our future title, Super Larry-O 69, you get to view Pansy from many angles, some even allow you to see right through her bikini! Obviously, this will prove we are much more mature than other developers and as you must be fully aware, a game can't be good without sex, drugs and a hell of a lot of violence.

Q. Ofcourse *sighs*. Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and even Super Mario Bros have all been made into films at some point. Do you think we'll ever see our two favourite mechanics on the big screen?

A. *smiles* Ofcourse we'll see movies featuring the mechanics Larry-O and Muigi. They wont be appearing in the cinemas though. The first is a christmas treat DVD/video called 'Pop the Pansy' which shows hardcore action between Pansy and her 'friend' who looks very similar indeed but with red-hair called Poppy. Larry-O and Muigi eventually join in with a game of twister that ends tragically. Ofcourse this film is not for kids, but we're sure it will be a hit.

Q. Well that wasn't exactly what I was expecting. So what have you got planned for the younger audience this forthcoming year?

A. Those words...I don't understand... Yee-un-ger...or-dee-ence?

At this point in the interview, two-dozen teams of lawyers all appeared representing different organisations all delivering court notices to Mr. Yoshimoshi. They didn't speak English at all, but I could think of many reasons why Yoshimoshi might be in a spot of bother with the law - so I slipped out of the room and caught a plane back to the UK. As always, more news on the Larry-O Bros series as we hear it!
