Bowser Koopa - the one name that strikes fear directly into the hearts of the little people of the Mushroom Kingdom, maiking those little Toads pack their little boots full of mushroom crud! All except for Mario and Luigi of course - the only 2 who can stop the power-hungry dinosaur, just like how they have done so many times during the last 20 years. When the big, bad reptile is upto no-good, Mario steps-in to come to the rescue of Princess Peach and her loyal servants, in an adventure that turns out to be that extra bit better than the last encounter between the 2 Arch Rivals of the Gaming World.

A Mario game without Bowser just isn't the same as one with him and his rampaging ways. And so we are left with a 'different' game by the name of Super Mario Sunshine. Bowser has always been the one who has caused Mario so much trouble in the past - especially in 'the greatest' Mario Adventures of Super Mario World, Mario 64, Mario Bros. 3, and even the original Super Mario Bros. game on the NES. All Bowser-free adventures just haven't been the same - like the second Mario Bros. title.

No-one really knows why Bowser doesn't feature in Mario's latest game 'full stop', let-alone why he isn't 'big boss' causing all the mayhem - except for Nintendo themselves.
Unfortunately we have been unable to obtain any conclusive responses from the Big N themselves though. It seems that "No comment" is the only piece of modern-day English speech that these 'Euro Neglecters' seem to know well!

But who needs them to answer all out un-answered questions....!
Thankfully, we were able to catch-up with the man himself (away from work) to get the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth on this open case.

Here's what 'Big B' had to say on the matter first of all:
"To be honest, i'm getting sick of doing the same old thing over and over again.
Every time Mr.Miyamoto has a new idea for a Mario game come popping-out of his head, I am instantly called-up and told to rush-on down to Nintendo of Japan in-order to start work on this 'new' and 'innovative' adventure."

"But every-single-time, it's the same old storyline in every one of his new ideas featuring both myself and Mario going head-to-head!
I mean COME ON!! You're supposed to be one of the biggest names in the Games Industry thanks to all your 'innovative' and (apparently) 'ORIGINAL' ideas!
Do you want people to think I have hidden feelings for Ms.Toadstall or something???
EUGH! For crying out loud... she's a human, i'm a dinosaur!!
To be honest, i'd rather go for Yoshi - there's an idea for you, Grampa Shigeru!!
Surely you can think of something.... ANYTHING else than the same old 'defeat Bowser and rescue the Princess line' that'll surely destroy the whole series!"

We had to cut out the rest of the interview i'm afraid.
It is believed that too much alchohol and this pressing subject helped to fuel the anger inside Bowser that sent him on a Flaming Rampage out of the local pub and downtown, leaving his drinking buddies and co-workers Mario and Wario with sindged caps and burning dungarees.

Bowser isn't happy anymore. He's getting old, just like the Mario series. Without any new ideas soon the series could fade-away into nothing - just like Crash Bandicoot. But removing Bowser may not be the answer, and from what he "kindly" told us with his 'words of fire', it wouldn't make him the happiest Dino in the real world!

Bowser loves Yoshi! Er... I mean Bowser's getting tired of the same-old repeatitive storylines, just like what you'd find in your weekly dose of Eastenders.
We'll have more on the subject when we have it - and hopefully something from Miyamoto-san himself too.

But for now, it's a good evening from me, and a...... AAAAAARRGH!!
