Nintendo doesn't need a DVD to boost sales. Excellent, quality, innovative and original gaming is how they get sales, and is why they're leaving Microsoft in a trail of smoke.

If i didn't have a dvd, and was buying a console, i'd go for an xbox. It's only when you have a dvd already that the gamecube looks like better *value*.

At £130, its a steal.
They really don't need to drop the price yet. At £130 it is a bargain and Nintendo should only consider dropping the price if the PS2 or X Box drop again. At £100 the Gamecube could be too cheap and seem a bit like the Dreamcast which reduced in price too much.
I think Nintendo will drop the price by Christmas, probably around the beginning of December to co-incide with the StarFox Adventures release.
Well its cheap enough as it is really.
They cut the price of the N64, suddenly, by £50. In a sort of sneaky, shocking BAM!! type of way.

Why would it? It was *released* at a price so low it's still cheaper then the X-Box and PS2 after two price cuts..
