.. that my GF would like for a birthday present.

We have:

ISS2
Super Smash Bros
Fifa World Cup
Super Monkey Ball

No pre-order games either, so please don't say something like Mario or Zelda

Out of Pikmin and Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin's the one to go for. It's more innovative and has a considerably longer lifespan.

I have both of these games and I think that Luigi's Mansion is better because Pikmin can be very difficult. It also takes up fourteen memory blocks compared to just three for LM. I am just now playing through the Hidden Mansion part of the game and finding it difficult but just as rewarding as it was first time round.

Have it on PS2.

SSX TRICKY IS VERY GOOD

I was talking more along the lines of games like Final Fantasy and Prisoner Of War where you only reap the rewards through hard play.

You mean trial and error tasks? Then yep, it does.

You either look at the scenery and decide how to go about your task (getting a ship part), or just run in and meet monsters with no Pikmin to defend yourself, which is what I did. The "days" in the game are also too short to carry out enough tasks effectively.

Oh, she also hates game which require you to sit down for a lng time and work at them.

Does this affect Pikmin?

Get Pikmin, Asher. A bit on the "short" side, but good nonetheless.

She hates all racing games, apart from that she doesn't mind.

Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, Sonic are my main priorities.

Oh, strip poker.... i mean Pikmin is a classic so i'd give that a go.
