I'd ask what you think of the trailer but despite hundreds of views you guys never bother :)
I was late watching Casino Royale and I'm ashamed to admit that at first, I didn't like the idea of Danial Craig as James Bond. Boy was I wrong, it was the best Bond movie for a long time and Craig was perfect for the role.
Now Quantum of Solace picks up where Casino Royale left off and it's looking pretty good. This time I'm planning to watch it in the cinema instead of on a cheap DVD on Christmas Day.
...Taking away the fact that all the previous films before it do not make any sense as far as continuity goes, especially when you consider Casino Royale is Bond's first double-0 outing in both the new(ish) movie and the series of books, I thought the movie was excellent!
The cold reinvented killer in bond that didn't listen to his enemy ramble at the start of the movie...he just shot him. And when you get past the attempt to modernise the story and drag it out before the Royale card game it becomes very much like a modern representation of the book! Something that so far Live & Let Die (book 2) hasn't yet seemed to bare any relation to (except Baron Samedi aka Mr Big, and Solitaire are characters, and voodoo is involved).
Whilst watching the movie I was wondering if they'd do the whole Vesper story following Bond's torture. And also if the SMERSH guy would come and save Bond during the torture itself. Almost everything was done by the book when that card game started (again with a touch of 21st century modernisation). I even liked the fact they used the line "The b***h is dead now" at the end!
So now I'm actually looking forward to Quantum of Solace!

Surely seeing whether another bond is good or not won't change that? Unless you're not watching it because you're scared that the new one will be better? I don't understand. It's like saying you won't try chocolate ice cream for the first time because strawberry is your favourite!
I don't really have a favourite bond, they all do different things well.
I bought it for my brother'sh birthday when it was released on DVD but never got around to watching it.
Shaying that, I did see the comedy Jamesh Bond movie of the shame title!
I'm sure I'll shee it at shome point shoon though. I'm currently reading the Jamesh Bond booksh now. (well, I'm part way through Cashino Royale anyway)
Shean Connery wash 'my Bond'...oddly though Goldeneye remainsh my favourite movie in the series.
(/end 'sh'ean Connery reference)
The trailer for the new one looks like more of the same, but even darker. Could be good as long as they don't have too much action in place of story. James Bond isn't Rambo, he's still supposed to be suarve and, well, a spy...
It just didn't grab me like some other films, for example Cloverfiled, Iron Man and Rambo had me leaving the cinema with a bit of a rush, wanting to see it again, buy it on DVD and read extra information on it on Wikipedia. With Casino Royale left me very 'meh'.
To be honest this trailer hasn't sparked any interest in me going to the cinema come November, I might pick it up on DVD some point next year if my curiosity gets the best of me however.
