Well, technically, it's the few computers joined up to form part of ARPA, the original network that formed the basis of the internet, that is 43 years old, but what the hell, Weby has to have something to celebrate sometime, doesn't it?
Wonder what the next 43 years will bring? Cheaper access? (C'mon BT pull your act together). Faster access? (What comes after ASDL, WAP for PC's?) Reliable OS's? (C'mon Microsoft, sort them buggies out.) These 3 things could then make online gaming a much more viable and reliable option than it is now, and then consoles may be threatened as the market leaders, but not for a few years yet, methinks.
