I don't know why, but recently I've found myself wanting an American Football game, and it appears that the gamecube has some good ones.

I know very little about the sport itself, but have sat all the way through one match.

NFL Blitz sounds fun for an arcadey experience, with a good multiplayer.

EA's Madded game and Sega's 2K3 sound to be better games though, but are more like accurate simulations of the 'sport'.

I don't really want to spend a whole whack on these games, so I might try to rent one, get me over it.

It's odd, I don't know where it's come from?

Maybe I'll download a SNES American Football game (for 24 hours) just to play and let it go.

Anyone a fan of American Football games? Played any GC ones? I haven't played any since the Megadrive days!

The Madden games are the one title they really do well though mate, trust me - its nothing like playing the likes of Fifa.

Its amazing how they can be so good when it comes to recreating one sport and so dire doing another. ;-))

Yeah I like American Football games and I don't mind the sport either. I support the Jaguars and the Dolphins. ;-)

If your gonna buy a game, the best to look for is the Madden series. I want to get Madden 2003 on the X-Box when it arrives and while I was in the States I also spotted another title called NFL Fever 2003 which looks great and also has online play. :-)

Quarterback Club games are ok, but Madden is the one you wanna look out for. Unfortunatly with the sport not being too big in this country, you won't find that many American football games to choose from. Christ you should see the selection in the U.S - on all formats ! ;-))
If I remeber right, X-Box and GC had like 6 or 7 different games and when you think of the overall number of games both consoles have right now, thats quite a ratio. ;-))

I like American football games. Been playing NFL Quarterback Club on my N64 quite a bit recently.

Ain't got any Gamecube versions at the moment though. But I might start looking soon.
